Washington Spirit Select Live Wire S&E to Manage Investor Group Announcement

The Washington Spirit selected Live Wire S&E to manage its most recent announcement regarding its new investor group. These brand-new investors joined the Washington Spirit Family to promote the club’s goals, which include winning soccer championships, promoting women’s soccer, and becoming one of the world’s premier women’s sports franchises.

Over 40 individuals came together to form this new group, bringing together a variety of skills, resources, and networks. Among the investors are a variety of influential figures, including writer and former first daughter Chelsea Clinton, former first daughter and journalist Jenna Bush Hager, and Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin.

As the managing firm for the investor group’s launch, Live Wire S&E’s responsibilities included communicating with both the public and the Spirit investors themselves. To promote and elevate the Washington Spirit’s exposure, Live Wire S&E performed proactive outreach and secured over 40 high-level tier-1 media placements, including appearances in the Washington Post, ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and People.  

Live Wire S&E also created a promotional video for the launch featuring interviews with Spirit Managing Partner Steve Baldwin and high- profile investors Dominique Dawes and Briana Scurry.

On the investor side, Live Wire S&E managed relations with the group, creating a special branded box to welcome the newest members of the Spirit Family.
